In June, the district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm applied for HyExpert funding as part of the HyLand funding initiative. The maximum funding of EUR 400,000 is to be used to develop concepts for the use of hydrogen in the district. The three main areas of focus are defossilization of the A9 federal freeway, the energy hub of the sewage treatment plant and hydrogen use in residential areas. On August 22, 2021, the district presented its topics at the Hydrogen Day of the Landesgartenschau Ingolstadt. ostermeier H2ydrogen Solutions GmbH (OHS) supports the application of the district of Pfaffenhofen and therefore supported the municipal company Strukturentwicklung Landkreis Pfaffenhofen a.d.Ilm (KUS) with a presentation. The visitors showed great interest in the topic of hydrogen. Many PV system operators are looking for a suitable solution – such as seasonal storage with the help of hydrogen – especially for the expiring EEG subsidies for existing photovoltaic (PV) systems.
